PROJECT MANAGEMENT, ALFA LAVAL AALBORG
Alfa Laval and Adding Engineering have worked together for many years, so when Alfa Laval needed a project manager for an ongoing project at short notice, it was natural to turn to Adding Engineering.
The project crossed several business units and national borders, just as there were external partners, all of whom had been in contact with each other over a long period. A prototype plant had already been made, and development work had begun in Denmark and the Netherlands, just as there were customers who were eager to place purchase orders.
Alfa Laval needed a project manager who could familiarize himself with the many different project deliverables, but who could primarily ensure internal communication and coordination so that the work could continue along the planned track. Adding Engineering's project managers are experienced and used to familiarizing themselves with different companies' products, processes and working methods, just as they can perform at all organizational levels in a large international organization.
There was thus a good match between the customer's needs and Adding's competences. Adding Engineering handled the project manager function for a period of 5 months, after which all details were handed over to an internal project manager, who could continue the work and bring the project safely to the finish line.
Adding Engineering's project managers come with extensive business experience and are focused on creating the necessary momentum with respect for the project economy. The projects can have different durations and complexities, but the tasks have in common that Adding Engineering works on the company's terms and acts as its representative throughout the project period. The project managers' form of cooperation is open and transparent, any information provided naturally belongs to the customer, just as we are happy to transfer knowledge and train the customer's own people when the baton has to be passed on.
